Registering for a Class

Registering for a Class
Adult Learning Center—Charlottesville

REGISTRATION FORM  To register for class, you need to fill out a registration form and take an assessment test . The registration form asks for basic information such as name, address, phone number, date of birth, and employment status. It also asks about your learning goals.

ASSESSMENT  We have several different levels of ESL and GED classes at the ALC. The assessment test helps us determine your skill level so that we can place you in the appropriate class. (See our calendar for assessment dates and times).

You need to be on time and plan to stay for two hours.

PAYMENT  Your registration is not complete until payment is received. The class fee is listed in the class schedule.  Exact amount in cash, check, or money order is needed. City residents receive a $25 discount on most classes.

Please make checks payable to "Charlottesville City Schools".

Please note that some classes fill up quickly. Payment at the time of registration guarantees your place in class.

Save money.  Attend most (90%) of your classes this session, and you will receive a $25 discount for the next class session.
